In terms of colour a quietening down will occur in fashion. There will a departure from strong, very bold 'loud' tones, and instead powdery shades with near-white nuances will dominate the picture.
Contrast will be replaced by harmonious colour combinations or tone in tone arrangements. This withdrawal of colour contrast means that surfaces, patterns and structures appear more strongly. Materials now create an impression through the texture of their surfaces, their silky shine and their noble feel.
There are figure-hugging contours and silhouettes and the look is more clearly defined. A new purism enters the scene. Elegance is articulated by very high class materials and simple cuts. Accessories continue to play a part but are used in a more understated manner in accordance with the motto that "less is more".

Sensual Fresh
The trend theme for the coming summer is a new lightness. Accordingly, the colour spectrum is subdued: powdery grey and natural tones, pastels, black as well as lots of white determine the theme. These are combined with graphic patterns, various structures and surfaces.

The shoe fashion for this theme is dominated by slim cuts, rounded or square-shaped edges. Delicate mules with broad ties, espadrilles and sandals with elaborate weaving to ensure lightness. Smooth leather with natural shine as well as patent leather both produce a clean, elegant look. Leather is combined with textile materials to look sporty and casual.

Large city bags and shopping bags are cut with clear lines and decorated stylishly and sparingly with ornamental touches. The materials for this elegant look are fine calf leather, matt suede with a soft feel, shiny surfaces or patent leather. The purist but nevertheless colourful palette extends from white through light natural and grey tones and pastels to black.

Northern Cruise
This theme introduces freshness! Colours, shapes and cuts are reminiscent of summer in Deauville. Pastels and natural tones are given new hints of red and blue. Small patterns (checks, stripes and dots) have a playful and optimistic effect. The colours frequently appear faded and sometimes undefined and matt. Fresh and sporty white also corresponds to this trend.

Shoe fashion starts with sneakers then stretches across comfortable mules and feather-light espadrilles through to light nostalgic Flamencos and small, girlish ballerina shoes. Thin stripes, understated embroidery and decorative stitching are effective but are also used discreetly.

Matching bags are capacious and are combined with sporty elements. Striped designs and clear blue tones are characteristic of the new shoulder bags and pouches. Duffel bags with cords or ropes complete the new maritime look.

Summer Heat
The heat of the south, the warm colours of North Africa; this theme generates a longing for travel. The colour palette ranges from beige and brown tones across various orange and red nuances through to gold and bronze. The tones which will dominate the fashion picture are clay and ochre. They will be used tone in tone, but also combined with coloured nuances to create a completely new sensual look. Ethnic patterns and handcrafted ornamental elements are used sparingly and underscore the authentic effect.

Shoe models range from linen espadrilles across simple clogs and mules through to intricately woven or tied sandals. Brown in all its varieties plays the principal colour role. The preferred material is smooth, naturally finished leather.

Sophisticatedly produced floral patterns, weaves, knitted and crocheted looks, decorative stitching and embroidery embellish the feminine bags, short-handled bags, pouches and baskets. Colour nuances are clearly sunny and strong: yellow, burnt orange and fuchsia dominate the picture.
