Barcelona Bridal Week 2007

29. May to 3. June 2007, Gran Vía Precinct (Fira Barcelona)

With excellent figures for participation and media impact, Barcelona Bridal Week -NOVIAESPAÑA is looking forward to its 17th show with great optimism. The event, which has been consolidated as the most important shop window of bridal fashion and has become a clear international point of reference for the sector, will be held from 29. May - 03.June 2007 in the Fira Barcelona Gran Vía Precinct. The week of bridal fashion will once again be composed of the GAUDÍ BRIDES FASHION PARADES, which will take place from 29.May to 01.June, and the Barcelona Bridal Week -NOVIAESPAÑA Trade Fair, which will be open from 01.-03.June.

The novelties this time are, on the one hand, that the dates have been brought forward in order to adapt to the international trade fair circuit and, on the other, the change of venue. With the extensive supply of high quality services making it one of the most modern trade fair areas in Europe, this venue has become the ideal setting in which to develop a new concept of Trade Fair, modern and adapted to the needs of asector in which Spain holds second place as an exporting country at world level.

Barcelona Bridal Week will continue the successful combination of a fashion parade, unique in the genre, and a trade fair with a profile directed towards a creative and quality offer, with strong foreign representation. The first three days will be reserved for the GAUDÍ BRIDES FASHION PARADES only, in which once again there will be designers of worldwide reputation and top level casting. The parades will precede the Barcelona Bridal Week-NOVIAESPAÑA Trade Fair.

More than 150 firms at
Barcelona Bridal Week - Noviaespaña 2007
The forecasts point to a full house in Pavilion 2.2 of the Gran Via Precinct

For the seventeenth edition of the Barcelona Bridal Week-NOVIAESPAÑA International Show, be held in Barcelona between 01.-03.June 2007, more than 150 firms from all over the world had already confirmed participation. This hectic sign-up rate points to a full occupation of the new Trade Fair venue: Pavilion 2.2 of the Gran Vía Precinct of Fira Barcelona.

Four months before the Show was due to open, more than 85% of the space was already reserved, and all the firms that participated in the 2006 event have expressed an interest in taking part again this time round. Therefore, all the forecasts suggest that this new event will be a resounding success, surpassing the attendance figures of the last event, which featured 200 brands, more than 30% of them foreign (mainly from Belgium, Holland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey and the United States, among others).

CABOTINE, CHRISTIAN LACROIX Mariée, CYMBELINE, DE LA CIERVA Y NICOLÁS, ELIE SAAB, FRANC SARABIA, FRANCIS MONTESINOS, FUENTECAPALA, HANNIBAL LAGUNA, JESÚS DEL POZO, JESÚS PEIRÓ, JOAQUIM VERDÚ, JOSECHU SANTANA, LAGERFELD COLLECTION, MANUEL MOTA, MARIA ALEGRE, MARIA LLUÏSA RABELL, MATILDE CANO, MODEL NOVIAS, NOVIA D’ART, PATRICIA AVENDAÑO, PEPE BOTELLA, PRONOVIAS, RAIMON BUNDÓ, ROSA CLARÁ, RUBEN PERLOTTI, SIONA GARCÍA, ST. The capacity of the Barcelona Bridal Week-NOVIAESPAÑA as a focal point for purchasers from all countries is undeniable. The high degree of creativity and quality of the collections on show, linked to the event's international scope and the proven solvency of an event now into its seventeenth edition, provides a unique scenario that attracts numerous professionals. The latest edition received a total of 11.550 visitors. Of this figure, 48.2% came from abroad, which illustrates the international dimension of the event. Italy, with 10.7% of the visitors, led the ranking of visiting countries. It was followed by France (4.4 %) and Japan (2.8 %), confirming this event's appeal for this Asian market. England (2.6 %) came in fourth thanks to the actions in this country in collaboration with the COPCA (Consorcio de Promoción Comercial de Catalunya). Germany (2.4%), Portugal (2.2%), United States (2%), Holland (1%), Turkey (0.8) and Russia (0.4%), among others, completed the list of countries in attendance

Parallel to the Show's commercial activity, Barcelona Bridal Week will also provide the framework for the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS which, between 29.May and 01.June, will be showcasing the collections for 2008 of more than 25 national and international designers of worldwide acclaim. Yet again, the new generation of designers, driving the industry with their creativity, will enjoy an outstanding space where they can present their own collections to the specialised press and buyers from all over the world.

With more than 16 years' experience and a progressive international development and expansion, it is safe to say that Barcelona Bridal Week -NOVIAESPAÑA has reached maturity and is now one of the sector's most important worldwide meeting points. Proof of this is the commitment that firms and buyers successfully renew every year, thus endorsing the appeal and uniqueness of Barcelona as the international Bridal Fashion capital.

KARL LAGERFELD to open the forthcoming Pasarela Gaudí Novias,
which will close its most international edition with the
Elie by Elie Saab and Valentino collections

The countdown for the most international bridal fashion show has started now. On 29.May, the company KARL LAGERFELD, exclusively for ROSA CLARÁ, will open one of the most spectacular editions in the history of the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS. The forthcoming edition of the event will take place from 29.May to 01.June at Fira Barcelona's Gran Via Precinct, and will close its seventeenth edition with the ELIE BY ELIE SAAB and VALENTINO collections. Barcelona will thus become the favourite city for companies of worldwide prestige, such as the French firm CYMBELINE, a habitual participant in the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS, which has chosen Barcelona as the setting and the Barcelona Bridal Week as the event for holding its international convention.

Together with the above-mentioned international firms and designers, the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS will once again open its doors.
They all remain faithful to this platform which this year will also have new incorporations such as Ana Torres, Cabotine, Esther Rodríguez, Priam, White Day by José Mª Peiró and Yolan Cris.

For the second time running, new talents will fill the catwalk with originality in a collective parade which will explore the most creative side of fashion for brides and grooms. This initiative is designed as an efficient tool for possible collaborations between this collective and manufacturers, thus enriching a sector in which our company occupies the leading positions.

From 01.-03.June, the Barcelona Bridal Week-NOVIAESPAÑA show will be the perfect finishing touch for this week of bridal fashion. All companies and creators, carefully selected according to the highest levels of quality and design, will show their best proposals at this event.
In this way, Barcelona will once again become the greatest world stage for the commerce of the sector and the heart of the most international bridal fashion.
