Lingerie Americas Establishes Presence on the West Coast

Launch of New Las Vegas Show / 11th Session of New York

 

 

Following five successful years in New York, Lingerie Americas will expand this August with the launch of its new show in Las Vegas, created as a convenience for buyers located in the West. The new event cements Lingerie Americas' position as the leading Intimate Apparel Trade Show in North America. Now, buyers from all over the country have convenient access to the largest US display of the finest brands in Intimate Apparel & Swimwear. The company has already unveiled a redesigned web site featuring dedicated sections for each show.

"The response to Lingerie Americas Las Vegas has been tremendous. We are devoted to making the Las Vegas show just as strong as the New York event for which we are famous. The entire team is very excited about the opportunity to help exhibitors reach West Coast buyers, and provide buyers with a professional trade show in their area, all while maintaining the high quality expected in New York," said Patrice Argain, CEO, Lingerie Americas.

Lingerie Americas Las Vegas Expected To Sell-Out.
From Sunday, August 26 thru Tuesday, August 28, Lingerie Americas will take over Level 4 of The Venetian Hotel & Resort (located at 3355 Las Vegas Boulevard South, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip and convention center area).

The event will feature a mix of international Fashion names (John Galliano, Kenzo, Nina Ricci, Christian Lacroix, Betsey Johnson, Oscar de la Renta, Elle Macpherson Intimates) as well as established leaders in the industry (Bendon Group, Calida, Carole Hochman Group, Eveden, Natori, Van de Velde). In addition, the show will spotlight all of the French lingerie manufacturers that play a significant role in the US market (Aubade, Barbara, Chantelle, Empreinte, Huit, Lejaby, Ravage, Simone Perele) and a selection of recognized American and European designers, (Clo, Blush, Lala Rose, Marlies Dekkers, Nina V, Rosapois, Vida by Juliana Paes, Wendy Glez).

The power of attraction of these brands is undeniable and we are confident this selection will enable us to deliver a very high end show where quality buyers will recognize the Lingerie Americas touch, very much in the spirit of our well established New York event," added Mr. Argain.

Seminars
No Lingerie Americas event would be complete without complementary informative seminars.

Presented by Frederika Zappe (Eveden National Fit Specialist) and Jim West (Director of Marketing and Product Development for Eveden Inc. US)
Learn the basics to advanced techniques for fitting Full Busted and Full Figured customers.

Monday, August 27 at 3:00pm
"What Women Want: Taking Your Business to the Next Level"
a panel moderated by Sarah Daniels, Publisher, Intimate Apparel Business Magazine
The seminar is intended for manufacturers and retailers who want to grow their businesses, but need a clearer picture of what the customer really wants, and how to make informed business decisions based on that feedback.
Sarah Daniels will provide an industry overview and statistics on what customers want (attitudes, buying habits, and customer service). Featured speakers include:
- Brandon Roberts, Trend Consultant for AdCreep, former Studio Services Executive for Urban Outfitters, Merchandising Creative for Adidas, and published trend writer
- Tia Lynn, Lingerie Designer and Manufacturer
- Nine Warner, retail store Owner/Buyer, Bittersweet Butterfly in Los Angeles
- A "typical" female consumer

 

 

Intention
Lingerie Americas Las Vegas was created to satisfy growing exhibitor demand for a show in the West, supported by positive results from a yearlong market study, revealing that many buyers want a Lingerie Americas event near the West Coast. According to the recent survey, buyers prefer to attend shows held from Sunday thru Tuesday, the dates of both Lingerie Americas' show this August. An extensive marketing campaign has been undertaken to promote the new event.

Lingerie Americas New York Still Going Strong
Lingerie Americas New York (Sunday, August 5 thru Tuesday, August 7 at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion, 135 West 18th Street, between 6th & 7th Avenues) continues to sell out every season, with a waiting list of brands eager to participate.

In August, 270 brands, from medium to high-end, in the following product categories will exhibit: Foundations, Sleepwear & Loungewear, Underwear, Daywear, Swimwear & Beachwear, Hosiery, Maternity & Nursing, Shapewear, Plus Sizes, Men's Underwear, Accessories, Slippers, etc. Leading and designers brands new to the show include: industry leader Wacoal, the acclaimed Canadian brand Blush Intimates, and designers John Galliano, Christian Lacroix and Kenzo, among others.

The show will present two seminars this season:
Sunday, August 5 at 3:30pm
"Color, Inspiration and Lingerie Trends for Spring/Summer 2008"
Presented by Nina Stotler, Trend Consultant, Peclers Paris
PeclersParis' main presentation is a synopsis of the four key trends for Spring/Summer 2008 across all markets. Over the course of this slideshow we will highlight key inspirations, silhouettes, and textures for Lingerie.

Monday, August 6 at 3:30pm
"POS-IM: Find Retail Success with Point of Sale"
Presented by Ken Stewart, POS-IM Master Reseller specializing in Intimate Apparel Retail. Retailers can learn how POS-IM Point of Sale and Inventory Management software can increase sales and make life easier. This presentation will show retailers how easy it is to automate their stores today.

In addition, visitors can stop by the Lingerie Française lounge in the lobby of the Metropolitan Pavilion to discover the French know-how and style. On display will be 16 Best Sellers from Antigel, Antinea, Aubade, Barbara, Chantelle, Empreinte, Elixir de Lingerie, Eprise de Lise Charmel, Huit, Lejaby, Lise Charmel, Lou, Millesia, Princesse tam.tam, Ravage, and Simone Pérèle.

New Website Promotes Both Shows
To assist exhibitors and visitors, Lingerie Americas has redesigned its website - www.lingerie-americas.com - with dedicated areas for each show. Thru the site, which reaches 6,000 visitors each month, attendees have access to all the info they need about the shows and to plan their trip.
