47th SIL / Paris : 100% LINGERIE - 100% TRENDS

 

 

The 47th edition of the Salon International de la Lingerie will open its doors for 3 days on January 23rd, 24th and 25th 2010 at Paris-Expo, Porte de Versailles. For the first time this session, it will take place in Pavilions 3 & 4. The first event in the year for professionals in the intimates sector, the show will take full advantage of Paris fashion week which attracts 300,000 visitors each year (Interfilière, Who's Next, Première Classe, Prêt à Porter, Éclat de Mode and Accessoire Avenue).

The Salon International de la Lingerie distinguishes itself from the many trade shows held at Porte de Versailles thanks to its resolutely international dimension - it is the only show to which 60% of participants travel from abroad, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors.

For decades, this veritable institution has offered intimates a global platform to showcase creative flair and know-how. Now, more than ever before, its aim is to reflect the ever changing character of the industry. Thus, the Salon International de la Lingerie adapts to suit current requirements, enhances its product range, decodes trends and guides its 500 exhibitor brands and 20,000 visitors on a journey to the very highest realms of the intimates domain.

With its chic and refined environment with dark purple et violet tones, the exhibition dives visitors into the Lingerie bubble: W&B posters referring to catwalk's backstage.
In order to well decode the market offer, the 5 sectors are divided into 2 pavilions: pavilions 3 & 4. Each of them present a particular atmosphere.

PAVILION 3
Spotlight on all creativity and grandness of Corseterie with Designers labels, Young designers in a so Parisian atmosphere.

A loungewear and cozy atmosphere to discover the Loungewear trends, a booming sector.

2 trends forums will unveil the creativity on pavilion 3, a veritable hotbed of trends for lingerie designers, presented in an inspiring display for the show's major buyers, compiled by two style agencies that are recognized for their work in the fashion domain: Nelly Rodi and Carlin International.

BODY UNLIMITED by Nelly Rodi
In an arty atmosphere, punctuated by performances from artists, sportsmen and women at the heart of a forum that is designed as a veritable living space, Nelly Rodi highlights the contradictions of today's society:
- a desire for performance and continual efforts to control the body which is shaped, sculpted and regulated to the extent of imposing genuine constraints,
- as opposed to the need for freedom since the body is supposed to be relaxed, at ease and serene.

VERY COUTURE by Carlin International
Having observed a dilution of value in the current consumption context, the style agency asks the following question: “what constitutes top-of-the-range?” A sense of cuts, expertise and know-how, perfect mastery of volumes, attention to detail… Carlin is launching a campaign to reestablish the quality and know-how of the intimates sector through a veritable Couture Studio.

Creativity also will be present during the Brand Catwalk Show : a new presentation, to make the brands' products the heroes for A/W 2010-2011. Brands will be able to present 3 key silhouettes which will appear at the same time. A new organization to respond to buyer's requests: i.e. to discover at the same time all the variations linked to a model. This year, the catwalk main theme will be Paris through "chics and hypes" hotels from the Fashion Capital. Already the French Hotels "Pershing Hall" and the "Hotel du Nord" take part of this event.

At the end, creativity will be explained during conferences : For the first time, conferences are 100% dedicated to trends, conducted by the most prestigious Parisian trends offices : Nelly Rodi, Carlin International, Concepts Paris and Promostyl. This, Offering an opportunity to debate and share experience on issues that are fully trends-focused!
Once again for 2010, the international meeting point in the intimates sector promises a clash of cultures that is guaranteed to stimulate and inspire innovation.
