Leandro Cano Autumn-Winter 2020/21

Additionally to the shown A/W-Collection, Leandro Cano just introduced his Capsule Collection "AMALGAMA".

After being one of the winning finalists of the Worth Partnership Project, the Spanish designer is launching a capsule collection designed in collaboration with manufacturing companies Mas Telas and Label Graine

Amalga is the name that gives title to the last project presented by Leandro Cano, within the framework of the international competition 'Worth Partnership Project' of which he turned out to be one of the winning finalists last year 2019, and that since then he has been developing in collaboration with the companies Mas Telas and Label Graine. The Worth Partnership Project is the only European project where designers, SMEs, manufacturing companies and technology providers can work together to develop innovative and design-oriented business ideas.

The alliance proposed by Leandro Cano for this contest has been composed by Mas Telas, a small artisan textile company located in Logroño (Spain) and specialized in the technique of the patchwork. To complete the project, the French company Label Graine has provided the latest technology in textile printing.

The result of the collaboration between these companies has given rise to the capsule collection called Amalgama.

Inspiration takes us into a dream world where women on horseback ride through lush forests. It is like a dream in which dreams and reality coexist.

This dream has been translated into a hand-painted print by the artist María Rubio Tortosa.
Three garments have been created for the capsule collection:
- Maxi reversible coat with padding. On the outside, the work created by María Rubio has been printed on cotton fabric.
On the inside, Mas Telas, with the technique of the
oil mill, have recreated the print in gray and black scale.
- Shirt: long-sleeved shirt with the collection's print
- Tube skirt with the collection's print.

In addition to these three garments, the collection consists of two scarves, one with the color print and another with the black and white print made by hand.

The final collection was presented remotely during the Dutch Fashion Week and will be available on Leandro's website in the coming weeks.

Leonard Paris appoints Georg Lux as its new Creative Director

Leonard Paris is pleased to announce the arrival of Georg Lux,
the Maison's newly appointed Creative Director

Graduated from the Modedesign school Lette-Verein of Berlin, Georg Lux joined Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, where he successfully achieved his studies. In 2011, he was appointed by Tara Jarmon who also entrusted him with the responsibility for her Bal Edition line and the illustration of her collection books.

Georg Lux's talent for sublimating the silhouette with elegance and femininity will be supported by the Leonard studio, with whom Georg will share a fresh vision of the House's exceptional heritage. He will develop sustainable ready-to-wear collections in close collaboration with the best craftsmen, at a time when taking time is essential.

Leonard Paris is determined to offer the opportunity to a young generation of designers to share their design vision, whilst preserving the heart and essence of a well-established brand with solid values.

"I am honored and delighted to be able to work with talented craftsmen with exceptional know-how. I am looking forward to continuing to carve the history of Leonard, inspired by its exceptional heritage," comments Georg Lux.

"We are very pleased to work with Georg to continue to win over Leonard's devotees across the globe. His work at Leonard comes at a turbulent time, but one that heralds an extremely demanding post-crisis period, full of hope for reinventing our French craftsmanship around digital technology and respect for our planet" comments Nathalie Tribouillard, Maison Leonard CEO.

Georg Lux's first collection for Leonard Paris is Pre-Fall 2021, and his first presentation for the French Maison will take place during the upcoming Paris Fashion Week on March 5th 2021.

LEONARD PARIS Pre-Fall 2021 Collection

LEONARD

The Leonard Pre-Fall 2021 collection depicts a woman in an English "winter garden", a cocoon like and peaceful place with a sense of protection, surrounded by flowers during the course of grey winter days, awaiting the return of brighter times.

Inspired by the world of Cecil Beaton, including opulent English gardens, the cultural melting pot of London and the iconic 70s "art-déco revival" department store BIBA, the collection is filled with joy and positive energy, romantic yet powerful for any occasion, from day to night and beyond… Equipped to enjoy life over again, the Leonard woman throws in a colourful silken orchid on a glittering black dress and rushes out to celebrate.

The Leonard Pre-Fall 2021 collection is also the occasion to launch its new It Bag, designed by Georg Lux. The "Elysée" by Leonard is inspired by the most attractive Avenue of Paris, symbolised by the band and the round Leonard logo boucle in the middle, which also evokes Leonard's iconic printed bands.

Celebrated for its iconic prints on silk jersey and innovative fabrics, Leonard accentuates the focus on the "Made in France" factor, working hand in hand with traditional fabric manufacturers in Lyon and designing its new silk-flower brooches in Paris, all handmade. Designing in a sustainable manner, continuing to develop hand-made manufactured items and traditionally woven fabrics are at the heart of Leonard's philosophy.

The Leonard Pre-Fall 2021 collection is a love letter to everlasting know-how and innovation and celebrates a bright future, whilst fetching inspiration from nature itself.
