LINGERIE AMERICAS To Launch New Show In Las Vegas In 2007



Lingerie Americas, the largest and most established lingerie trade show in North America, will launch a new show, Lingerie Americas Las Vegas, at The Venetian Hotel Resort, from August 27 thru 29, 2007, it was announced by Patrice Argain, C.E.O., Lingerie Americas.

The new show, exclusively dedicated to the intimate apparel industry, will spotlight medium to high-end brands and will correlate to the Fashion Market Week in Las Vegas (during MAGIC, The Exclusive, ASAP global sourcing show, Accessories – The Show, etc.).

Lingerie Americas Las Vegas blossomed to meet a growing demand from West Coast buyers and the New York show’s exhibitors for an event in Las Vegas.

“Following the terrific success of the sold-out Lingerie Americas New York, and based on demand from our exhibitors, we conducted extensive research among North American buyers. The results clearly indicate a need for a high level event in the West and more particularly in Las Vegas” said Mr. Argain.

“We are extremely pleased to be launching Lingerie Americas Las Vegas in August, as we decided to avoid the February 2007 fashion market week which directly conflicts with the all-important Valentine’s Day selling period for the Intimate Apparel segment. Our goal is to hold Lingerie Americas Las Vegas twice annually. The dates for February 2008 will be announced after we have conducted a study and found the best possible dates for the industry to meet in Las Vegas” added Mr. Argain.

Lingerie Americas Las Vegas will be held in a 45,000 square foot venue at The Venetian Resort Hotel, one of the world’s top Hotels, in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and convention centers. This prestigious location will provide an excellent venue consistent with the high-end events and brands for which Lingerie Americas is known.

Lingerie Americas Las Vegas will strongly benefit from the existing structures and communication tools that have made the success of the show in New York City. It will be promoted thru an extensive marketing campaign including trade advertising, newsletters, telemarketing, mailings and cross-promotion at other Lingerie Americas events, including the two New York shows (February 7, 8, 9, 2007 and August 5, 6, 7, 2007) and also at Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris (February 2, 3, 4, 5, 2007).


Lingerie Americas Inc. was created in December 2001 and its first event took place in New York City in August 2002 with 120 brands. Four years later the show has doubled its size and regularly welcomes 270 of the finest international Lingerie and Swimwear brands. It has offices in Paris and New York with a staff of Lingerie professionals entirely dedicated to the needs of a particularly demanding industry.
