Lingerie Americas next editions in New York (August 3 - 5, 2008, Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion, 135 West 18th Street), and Las Vegas (August 25 - 27, Las Vegas Hilton) will showcase many of the best brands in intimate apparel and swimwear and much more. Both events will treat buyers from east to west to the newest trends for Spring/Summer 2009 at the exhibitors' booths and also in major runway show productions.

Leading Brands, Runway Show, Informative Seminars
The 13th edition of Lingerie Americas New York will spotlight 230 intimate apparel and swimwear brands and offer compelling seminars. Nautica Sleepwear and New Balance are exhibiting for the first time at the show. Leading and upcoming brands returning include Andres Sarda, Anita, Badgley Mischka, Barbara, Blush, Chantelle, Christies, Christine Vancouver, Eberjey, Ed Hardy Intimates, Fantasie, Feraud, Freya, Marie Jo, Mary Green, Natori, Parah, PrimaDonna, Pluto, Rösch CreativeCulture, Panache, among others.

Lights, Camera, Action!
Five hundred buyers and press are expected to attend the Lingerie Americas New York Runway Show, which will be held on August 4 at Cipriani 23rd Street and will surely be a highlight of the 3-day event. The major French brands (Aubade, Barbara, Empreinte, Gerbe, Huit, Lou, Rosy, Simone Pérèle) will open the Fashion Show, which will be an elaborate choreographed production, with the newest French trends in intimate apparel and swimwear. Then, other top brands, from America and elsewhere, will present their newest looks for Spring/Summer 2009.

The fashion show will kick off at 6:30pm with hors d'oeuvres and models will take to the runway at 7:30pm. Afterwards, guests are invited to a cocktail party and buffet for an evening of socializing and networking between vendors, buyers and press. Cipriani 23rd Street is the newest jewel in the Cipriani family, located in the historic Toy Building at 200 Fifth Avenue. The intricate Art Deco decor serves as a backdrop to the cuisine made famous at Harry's Bar in Venice. It is conveniently located a few blocks away from the trade show at the Altman Building and the Metropolitan Pavilion. A shuttle service will take the attendees from the trade show to the fashion show.

In addition to the Fashion Show, buyers will have the opportunity to attend several compelling and educational seminars designed to maximize their retail success. Back by popular demand is the "Eveden Inc. Fit School Seminar," presented by Frederika Zappe, Eveden National Fit Specialist. Eveden Inc. is the industry leader specializing in designing lingerie and swimwear for the Full- Busted and the Full-Figured woman. Buyers will learn basic to advanced techniques for fitting Full-Busted and Full-Figured customers.



A number of other high profile seminars, designed to help retailers be more profitable, will be held.

The Best of Intima magazine, part of Network Dessous, will present the 'Best Shop Awards' throughout the 3 days of the show with an ongoing video about the contest, at their special lounge at the entrance of the Metropolitan Pavilion.

And of course, Lingerie Americas will also offer its usual top-notch services including complimentary lunch for buyers, exhibitors and press and comfortable lounges in which to relax.


Lingerie Americas Las Vegas

For the first time, MAGIC will be held over a three-day period, instead of its usual four-day format, answering exhibitors and buyers calls for a shorter event. Lingerie Americas at WWDMAGIC will open its doors on Monday, August 25, and run thru Wednesday, August 27. Show hours will continue to be from 8:00am to 6:00pm daily.

The second edition of Lingerie Americas at WWDMAGIC will feature major brands exhibiting and a runway show, in conjunction with ISAM (International Swimwear & Activewear Market). The ISAM section of the trade show is also located in the Las Vegas Hilton, next to Lingerie Americas, conveniently making this a onestop- shop for intimate apparel and swimwear buyers.

The runway shows will take place daily at the Center Stage in the MAGIC Convention Center, hours to be announced soon. In addition, over 40 free educational seminars and presentations will be conducted by industry experts: trends forecasts, advanced selling strategies, marketing to consumers, and more.

Lingerie Americas at WWDMAGIC is a unique opportunity for Intimate Apparel buyers to shop a selection of fine Lingerie and Swimwear brands as well as explore the trends and latest developments of the entire Women's Apparel market.
