For the Spring Summer 2010 collection Jasmin Santanen meets Jacques Henri Lartigue, known as a serene man, liberated of constraints of the early 1900 he was passionate by life and his time devoting himself to elegance and innovation driven by an extreme curiosity for challenge. This exceptional artist didn't cease to collect happy moments of his life through photographing them in order to "trap happiness". Later on in his life known for his images, he left us a trace of his era marked by an incredible positivity and authenticity.

This season Jasmin Santanen and Jacques Henri Lartigue come together for a promenade with "the fashionable ladies at the Bois de Boulogne". The collection conveys the impact of the mondain events in the 30's Paris; a sporty chic way such as at a Rolland Garros tennis match or simply a rural Sunday afternoon. The designer invites us to relive those cliches of happiness. Immersed in a sepia tinted world evoking poetry and simplicity, two values treasured by Jasmin Santanen, the colors are restored for us in a delicate and radiant palette. The sober clean lines present in the collection mirror the sophisticated sensibility of a society rediscovering "open air life".

In reference to the "elegant fashionable ladies" elongated dresses made of precious satin gain in volume thanks to layers of tulle embroidered with fine lace, Deliciously classicai polka dot printed organza with courteously pleated details show up in solo or in a two piece. Gathered necklines in forms of bowcollar. v- or boat-neck together with prudent sleeves give the silk dresses and blouses an aestival and ethereal light figure. Comfortable cotton with fresh ribbon details constructed into clean lines refers to an athletic theme carried into trousers, pleated skirts and cardigans. The desire for comfort pursued in franc linen clothes with generous embroideries inspired by flower fields of summer where the flounces of tenderly pastel chiffon dresses and suites are dancing in a gentle breeze.
