In his debut season as Creative Director of Women's Wear, Manish Arora reinterprets the
Paco Rabanne woman as a FEMME LUMIERE. Lighting up a new era, she is given liberty through
her clothes, not limited by them. She looks to the future today as a place of possibility
and empowerment, seeking fashion that corresponds to her life, her likes, and her body. Manish Arora subtly dipped into the past for some archival signature pieces, reinventing them, injecting ergonomic innovation and building a body where before the surface was flat. Raglan sleeves ingeniously fold inward to create powerful but soft shoulders, panels move out and away from the body, creating sculptural, spiraling movement, and a place for contrasts. From a pave of tiny twinkling sequins to calibrated panes of glossy python, light is everywhere. The FEMME LUMIERE is reflected in her own clothes, literally. Radically new, but unmistakably Paco Rabanne, Manish Arora's designs up the ante of what is luxury today, utilizing intense research and incomparable craftsmanship, breaking down barriers, and arriving at fashion that is visionary, sensual, and unforgettable.
