World Shoes Accessories Strides Into Next Season
The First to Reveal The World's Hottest Footwear & Accessory Collections
The WSA Show is proud to announce a number of special events that will take place when
it hosts the Autumn/Winter 07 collections in Las Vegas 1 - 4 February 2007.
Proceedings will kick off the night before (31 January) with cocktails and a dazzling
live runway show called Style Walk, offering a delicious fashion taster of what's to
come on the exhibition floor. With a feast of resources in every price range and lifestyle
category, doors will open on 1 February to 1,600 exhibitors, representing over 6,000 brands.
A sparkling 'Opening Night at WSA' will feature the genuine 'Legends of Rock 'n' Roll', James Brown, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Mary Wilson and Bo Diddley, backed by Booker T and the MGs. This is not a show on tour, but will be staged especially for the footwear industry at this private event.
Whilst, educational sessions will be provided throughout the event at The Footwear and Accessories Business Conference and Style Talks, with industry leaders sharing their insights through a series of seminars.
European buyers and retailers benefit from this unique opportunity of viewing entire product lines, not exhibited in Europe and also profit from the early dates of the show. As the first major buying event of the season, retailers who place orders at the WSA Show and The Collections at WSA receive merchandise up to six weeks ahead of those placed at European trade events. It is the exceptional buying proposition presented at WSA, which makes it a key event for European buyers to attend.
The Collections at WSA (the premier luxury 'show within a show') also announces over ten new designers. The exquisite offering at the show includes names such as: Donald J Pliner, DKNY, Anne Klein New York, Detny by Shane & Shawn, Juicy Couture, Bettye Muller, Theory, Hollywould, Esquivel and Rock & Republic. Illustrating The Collections at WSA's position as the place for luxury footwear, handbags and accessories, Stuart Weitzman will use the show as the platform to launch his new handbag collection.
Commenting on the forthcoming show, Diane Stone, chief operating officer said, "It is our aim is to provide the best possible platform for the footwear industry to conduct business on a global basis. Not only do we offer the most comprehensive display of footwear and accessories in the world, but also we pride ourselves on helping to connect key industry decision makers. We also stress that the event goes far beyond exhibition halls and the show floor, but actually offers a bespoke multi-dimensional experience for the global footwear industry."
Building on the success of the French and Italian retailer delegations hosted at the last show, a new delegation of buyers from Germany and Italy are being planned for February. The WSA retail relations team (led in Europe by Milan-based Philippe Versluysen) will develop bespoke packages for each group; planning meetings, organising strategic business introductions and handling entire itineraries.
Matthias Wanner, Business Unit Manager Footwear, Sport 2000 International GmbH (one of the growing numbers of European visitors) highlights the importance of The WSA Show to overseas buyers, "It is hard to beat WSA's unique mix of good quality suppliers and the convenience of being able to see such extensive product offerings, in one place at one time. I picked up several new brands, which do not exhibit at European events."
WSA Global Holdings, LLC produces the twice-yearly WSA Show, each of which attracts more than 36,000 participants from 95 countries including 1,600 exhibitors showcasing over 6,000 brands, and The Collections at WSA, the premier luxury footwear show-within-a-show, that features more than 350 luxury footwear and accessories designers from around the globe in an exclusive upscale setting.
