LE CUIR A PARIS FEBRUARY 2008

Showcasing The Richness And Diversity Of Materials

The next edition of LE CUIR A PARIS will be held from 19 to 22 February 2008 in hall 4 of the exhibition park at Paris Nord Villepinte.

Up to date, 180 exhibitors have confimed their presence out of which 14 new companies are coming from Spain, France, Germany, India and Italy.

The Italian participation continues to rise with the presence of new tanneries such as Ilcea, Conceria Zini and Umberto Russo as well as the come back of Bizarro and Italconcia. Paoletti Tessuti, Aromata (Italy) and Novocor (Germany) will reinforce the supply of textiles whilst Tris Guardolificio (Italy) and Srivathsa (India) will enrich the offer of plaited leathers.

Exotic leathers will be well represented with the participation of the usual exhibitors: TCIM Roggwiller, Gordon Choisy, France Croco (France), AF di Albarello Ferdinando, Italven Pelli, Centrorettili, Anaconda, Reptilis, Caravel, Federico Albarello (Italy) and Atlantic Leather (Iceland) but also thanks to the new Spanish companies, Verdeveleno and Exotics Valencia.

As for the fur sector, around ten companies have confirmed their participation in LE CUIR A PARIS :
B+G SNC (Italy) - new exhibitor, CEO Orylag, Manutrans (France), Grinon Furs and Anmarc (Spain), Panfur 2000 (Finland), AF di Albarello Ferdinando, San Lorenzo, Eurofur, Industrie Pellami and Federico Albarello (Italy).

Five national pavilions will be organised, that is: the French Federation of Tanners, Assintecal and CICB (Brazil), Agenzia di Promozione Economica della Toscana and the Consorzio Italian Leather System (Italy).

LE CUIR A PARIS renews its partnership with the IFM (French Fashion Institute) next February. 9  students-designers will present prototypes of gloves, shoes and clothing produced in collaboration with Bally, Charles Jourdan, Clergerie, Louis Vuitton and Polux.

Furthermore, the Designer's Village will count with the works of 4 other designers:
- Hélène Thoorens, who created the new 2008 visual of LE CUIR A PARIS and the recent shoe collection signed with her name for "André" (a chain of shoes shops in France), comes back next February showcasing purses in fur and leather.
- The French artist Mireille Rohr will exhibit accessories (jewels for men and women, watches, bracelets and necklaces) in leather totally handmade by Mireille herself.
- The Brazilian designers Erika Ikezili and Taisa Hirsh will present their clothing in fish leather under the « Dona Gueisha » brandname. Erika Ikezili, Brazilian of Japanese origin, has already participated in the São Paulo Fashion Week.
