BBW 2008 : Gracia Galindo

After four years away from the catwalks, in which she has been totally devoted to her atelier clients and remodelling her workshops, Gracia Galindo presents her new collection of haute couture in bridal, festive, cocktail wear and pret-a-porter with ultra-novel superior quality designs for very exclusive clients who seek perfect lines and unique fabrics.

With more than 35 years of experience in the world of Haute Couture, Gracia Galindo has become a quality and design icon at home and abroad. Her creations are a reference point for clients that seek distinction and admiration at any type of event. Her garments are totally hand-made, and sometimes even several weeks are needed to make just one. The Company uses natural fabrics such as silk, organzine, broches, crepe, linen, and all embroidery work is done by hand.

Her showroom is visited daily by clients from all over the world, and she is currently the favourite designer of Catalan high society.

In this last collection, Gracia Galindo presents new bridal and festive proposals and has brought in a hint of pret a porter, and very special Cocktail wear.
The star colours this year are Valentine red, black, multicolour sunflowers and daring proposals such as yellow, different tones of green, fuchsia and orange.

In terms of cuts, imperial waistlines, dresses with sixties-style waist, puffed skirts (short and long), flounces, tucks, pleats and drapes are all in. Daring halter or round necks. Long and short sleeves, no sleeves... anything goes this year.

This season's most outstanding fabrics have been chosen: silk, natural silk, Tussah silk, silk satin, linen, organzine, brochés, crepe, mikado, natural silk shantung and embroidered tulle on precious stones, totally hand-made.

Special care has been take with the latest collection, which is called Pure Art, to adapt it to all ages and figures, perfecting cuts and patterns to make sure that the garment is perfect.
