The event consolidates its international projection with an increase in the number of foreign exhibitors and visitors The eighteenth edition of the BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK-NOVIAESPAÑA show, which took place between 27th of May and 1st of June closed its doors with a balance that positions it in first place among the events of its speciality. More than 13,000 visitors, with a percentage of almost 60% of foreigners, consolidate the international scope of this bridal fashion event. 136 exhibiting companies representing more than 200 brand names, with a foreign representation of 40%, offered very high levels of quality that were particularly appreciated by both national and international buyers. Italy continues to lead the ranking of visiting countries, followed by France, Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Portugal, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Greece, Croatia, Turkey and Ukraine, among the most notable ones. The increase in professionals from Russia was particularly significant, taking third place in the order of countries with presence at the Show, as a result of the promotion actions recently carried out by the Agrupación de Confeccionistas de Trajes de Novia, Novio, Fiesta y Complementos, the driving force behind the BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK Show.

The change of setting to Pavilion 8 of the Gran Via venue of Fira Barcelona, work of the Japanese artist Toyo Ito, in addition to giving avant-garde, modern airs to one of the most relevant events in its speciality, meant that it could attain the maximum quota of exhibitors in its history, with an extension of more than 1,000 m2 more than the last edition, making a total surface area of 30,000 m2. 10,800 people attended the catwalk shows at the Pasarela Gaudí Novias The 27 catwalk shows at the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS corresponding to 42 prestigious national and international firms, which took place from 27th to 30th of May, preceding the Fair Show, also saw a growth with regard to the number of visitors, which reached 10,800 people, (almost 2,000 more than in the previous edition). The media interest was also highly significant, with more than 400 mass media from 20 countries such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico, China, Japan, Uruguay and Sweden, among others. BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK was a success, not just from the quantitative point of view, but also qualitative, due to the high level of design, creativity and quality of the collections presented, making it a reference point for a reorganized sector that occupies the first places at a world level and that creates great volumes of business.
