This season is inspired by one of my favorite books, set during the Regence as Paris comes back to life and pleasure following the dull and gloomy end to the reign of Louis XIV. The Regent, Philippe d'Orleans, is a flamboyant figure, a patron of the arts, renowned for a pronounced hedonistic streak. His love of luxury and earthly pleasures sweeps away the prudishness of the previous era. Fashion changes overnight.

East observes West: French customs and fashion as seen through the eyes of two Persian noblemen from Ispahan, a city legendary for its sumptuous clothing and magnificent fabrics. Another inspiration that is very present in my daily life is the ormolu bronze settings on a Louis XV commode in my drawing room, which features exquisitely baroque scrolls and acanthus leaves...

This collection combines Rococo lines and motifs, hand-cmbroidered brocades, leather and lace. interpretcd with a subtle Goth twist, sexiness and opulence.
