Caroline Seikaly is a designer of American-Lebanese and French origin. In 2006, she creates her own brand name and designs ready-to-wear collections with a couture touch, elegant and refined. Up until February 2010, she presented her first three collections in New York during fashion week. Paris being her design base, she decides to present her collections there with the Spring Summer 2011 season. Having grown up in the United States, she studied fashion design at the Rhode Island School of Design and collaborates with Isaac Mizrahi in New York. Upon graduating, she heads to Paris to gain experience in Haute Couture with Christian Lacroix. In 1999, she joins Karl Lagerfeld's creative team and participates in the development of Lagerfeld Gallery. In 2006, the young designer decides to pursue her passion and creates her own line of special dresses. Caroline's style is reflected in her use of refined fabrics such äs silk and lace; she creates pieces that are contemporary yet timeless, sophisticated yet pure. Caroline Seikaly's collections are now distributed in the Unites States, Asia, Russia and the Middle East.
Moonstone Blossom SS 2010 Caroline Seikaly's new collection is inspired by the photographic work of the british Tim Walker, and more precisely by a spread for Italian Vogue, in which he created a pastel and dreamlike world. And so for this summer, Caroline presents a wardrobe of moonlike, powdered or acidulous colours, mixing silk satin and chiffon, Solstiss lace and tulle, draping and delicate Swarovski crystal Ornaments. A wispy collection, poetic yet resolutely sensual, for an assertive and alluring woman.
